Felicity Clear

Dublin/IRL | Website

Felicity Clear explores the intersection of line, light and perception in a wide variety of media and formats. Her work ranges from small 2D works on paper to large 3D installations and hand-drawn animations.

Born in Dublin, Felicity Clear graduated from the National College of Art and design and later received her Master of Arts from the Dun Laoghaire College of Art Design and Technology.

She is a founding member of the artist initiative Drawing de-Centered and Director of Independent Studios CLG in Dublin as well as a part-time lecturer at the National College of Art and Design.

Her work has been included in curated group exhibitions in the Irish Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Arts Society London, Crawford Gallery Cork, The National Gallery Dublin, The Model Sligo, Limerick City Gallery, The Dock Leitrim and Highlanes Drogheda, Agnews London.

Oftentimes her creations feature distorted perspectives and three-dimensional elements that cast shadows, creating intriguing visual puzzles.

Recently, her artwork deals with the way space and time are conceptualised in maps and schema that come from meteorological observations of wind, cloud and other natural systems.
