Peter Szalc
In his oeuvre, the artist Peter Szalc, who has lived in Bonn since 1990, crosses a conceptual balancing act between figuration and abstraction in the classic media of drawing and painting.
At the forefront of this topics are the environment, politics, but also social conventions, which he expresses in a humorous but sometimes very angry way. When looking at his work phase in recent years, the complexity and diversity of the content presented becomes increasingly apparent. A pictorial construction that plays with conventional ideas such as form and space, foreground and background or perspective is not to be found in his works.
