Presentation of SALON Magazine No.27 – De Belgian Connectie and conversation between the curator of the current edition, Reinhard Doubrawa/Cologne and invited Belgian artists – framed by 2 DJ sets by the artist and musician Christian Aberle/Cologne.

Reinhard Doubrawa and Christian Aberle are both part of the current exhibition Post Future / Nach der Zukunft as well.

The Cologne-based SALON Magazine, published by Gerhard Theewen, has been presenting picture essays created especially for the magazine by young, younger and advanced contemporary artists in its second season since 2017.
The current magazine No. 27, curated by Reinhard Doubrawa, is dedicated to the contemporary Belgian art scene. He has invited 18 artists from Belgium to participate:

5pm: Reinhard Doubrawa in conversation with Remi Verstraete about the function and situation of independent/artist run spaces in Belgium and about the SALON magazine format as an exhibition platform on paper.

The artist and musician Christian Aberle/Cologne provides the soundtrack to the magazine with a DJ-Set from 4.30pm and 6.15pm. He will play a short set before and after the artist talk. In his career, Aberle has repeatedly performed in museums, such as Museum Ludwig/Cologne or Leopold-Hoesch-Museum/Düren. More tracks by Christian Aberle can be found here on SoundCloud.
