Do we need a new nature?
A different understanding of nature?
Talking trees, singing stones or the storm wind, they appear in myths and legends of all countries, animals, plants and natural phenomena that interact with people.
The symbiosis between human and nature as a counter-model to the dichotomy. While the end of nature is being diagnosed, it is the motif and source of ideas for art, it is a reservoir of materials and narratives. Art as a seismograph of the relationship between nature and human offers opportunities to break familiar perspectives.
With texts from Goethe to Michel Houellebecq, from Ezra Pound to science fiction author Philip K. Dick or Marlen Haushofer. You will hear a large number of contemporary authors, whose poetry finds its expansion and overpainting in sounds and tones that Jens Düppe creates with elements of nature. Whether from earth and water, leaves or seeds, he creates unheard worlds of sound.
Jens Düppe and Timo Berndt have already worked together in the context of Kommunikation9, a platform for multidisciplinary encounters and performances, in Bonn.
