Livestream Panel Discussion “And Now?” as part of Platforms Project NET 2021.
After more than a year of the pandemic, after mourning what we have lost in terms of contacts in our lives due to restrictions, after very reduced opportunities for exchange and exhibition – especially in arts and culture – maybe we should now start thinking about whether we can learn something from the last months beyond setting up zoom meetings and livestreams.
Some found it very relaxing that the pace was slowed down and a pause button was pushed. Over time, financial concerns came together with cancellation after cancellation of exhibitions, fairs and events. All this affects art, artists and spaces at their core.
How will we think of art in the future? What kind of exhibition concepts will emerge? How will we meet, exchange and network in the future?
We would like to discuss this with you. The invited artists and representatives of off-spaces will each give short, personal statements about the current situation. Afterwards we will open the discussion, which we will stream live via our YouTube channel.
