The artist Sascha Alexa Martin Müller (Basel/CH) shows her sound machines with a life of their own at the ESSZIMMER’s opening.
With the exhibition Maschinen und andere Menschen the art space DAS ESSZIMMER opens. Sascha Alexa Martin Müller (Basel), who is interested in the encounter of man and machine, shows his artistic positions.
Since 2004 the machine artist and sound constructor participates in national and international exhibitions.
„It is not my intention to create machines or robots which should imitate real persons. They are rather machines developing an independent existence (…) for me they are a sort of showmen I like to watch when someone else is communicating with them.“

For the exhibition closing DAS ESSZIMMER presents a particular way of communication. On Sascha Alexa Martin Müller’s warming organ Thermofona the musicians of milbensicher, Ursula Cuesta (ARGID) & Ludwig Kuckartz (GRID), are playing a sound performance consisting of song and piano fragments. It is a meditative flowing concert of modern classic with discreetly moving video light.
