Das ESSZIMMER has collaborated with the independent art magazine _957 from Lucerne (CH) for the exhibition publication of the artist Matthias Aeberli as a part of his solo show If paintings were live pets, would you buy them more readily? oder Bilderlügen haben lange Beine.
_957 was founded in 2012 by Stephan Wittmer (artist and art educator from Lucerne). The magazine presents contemporary artists and oberservation from the art system, for which Stephan Wittmer regularly seeks project-related collaboration with artists and other co-authors.
The art magazine presents itself at a number of trade fairs, institutions and art projects and at other important venues, such as 2020 in Calgary and Bonn. With monthly editions and 115 subscriptions and 150-250 copies, does the magazine test divergent ideas and sets different demands in a visual tension. The dispense with the far-reaching renuncation of texts exposes the viewer to the indefinite and the sole expressive power of the images.
