Biography
The artist duo Copa & Sordes (Birgit Krueger & Eric Schmutz Krueger) lives and works in Basel (CH). Their coorperation began in 1995.
Studies in medicine, language, linguistics, history and art at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna (A), and at the Schule für Gestaltung und Kunst, Bern (CH) were part of their education.
Central issues of their series and projects are the interfaces of art and every day culture. Copa & Sordes had gallery stays in New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Paris and Marseille.
