Gianin Conrad
Gianin Conrad works in a variety of media. In connection with digitalization, there is a massive dematerialization. In his works he picks up this discussion.
Gianin Conrad grew up in the Swiss Alps. He lives and works in Trun/SUI, Zurich (SUI) and Antwerpen/BE. After an apprenticeship as a stone sculptor, he studied fine arts in Zurich (ZHdK), Basel (FHNW) and Berlin (UdK). Conrad works in various media. His work includes sculptures, plastics, installations, and performances.
The sculptor is constantly preoccupied with the fundamental themes of his discipline: space, form and its negative, the hollow form, whereby the question of the possibilities of contemporary sculpture is always at the center. The history of sculpture and the associated examination of the human form are important points of reference here.
