Maddy Arkesteyn (1966-2012), studied at the Academy for Visual Arts, Maastricht (NL) aswell as at the De Ateliers, Amsterdam (NL) and Vrije Universiteit, Brüssel (BE), Department of Philosophy and Moral Sciences (Bachelor und Master).

Biography

Maddy Arkesteyn was born in Goirle (NL) in 1966 and died in Brussels (BE) in 2012.

Education at the Academy for Visual Arts, Maastricht (NL), at the De Ateliers in Amsterdam (NL) , at the Vrije Universiteit in Brussels (BE) and at the Department of Philosophy and Moral Sciences (Bachelor and Master).

Since 1993 joint and solo exhibitions. In 2010 Residency at the Chinese European Art Center (CEAC), Xiamen (CN). Acquisitions through the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam (NL), the Museum of Modern Art Bologna in Bologna (IT) and privat collections
