Willi Reiche

Wachtberg/NRW | Website

Willi Reiche, born in Fürth/GER, creates multimedia kinetic (machine) artworks from found and no longer used objects.

Willi Reiche was born in 1954, he lives and works in Wachtberg (NRW). He studied art history in Bonn from 1975 to 1982. After that he went through various creative phases in which he experimented with wood and metal. His first assemblages, wooden sculptures and metal figures were created. This was followed by unique pieces of furniture and room installations. Since 1998, Willi Reiche has concentrated on kinetic objects/art machines with electric motors or driven by muscle power, wind and gravity.

Phase 4: The result is a story-telling magic, a fascination, a living machine of art, that gives each of its useless things a new use. A new purpose and a new sense of art. There is no better usage!

Foreword by Max Moor (Actor, Author, Producent, Reporter, Moderator, …) from KUNSTMASCHINEN by Willi Reiche, ISBN 978-3-00-068032-8
