5 years ESSZIMMER
DAS ESSZIMMER is celebrating 5 years and 27 exhibitions on the occasion of the finissage of the solo exhibition by Stijn Peeters (Eindhoven / NL) with the Dada reading “Space Cowboy 2” by and with Stefan Birckmann and a party.
We are celebrating 5 years and 27 exhibitions with:
- Finissage: Solo exhibition Europaeische Werte by Stijn Peeters (NL), in cooperation with SEA Foundation, Tilburg/NL.
- dada reading: 17:30 Uhr | Space Cowboy 2, a reading inspired by Dada from Stefan Birckmann (Bonn/Flensburg).
In his reading, Stefan Birckmann, author of Reise eines Ungeschickten (2014, Goethe and Hafis Verlag) and Doppelschicht (2015, Goethe and Hafis Verlag), mingles both known and unknown Dada texts from Kurt Schwitters to Hugo Ball with individual serious and absurd texts, that are grouped around a recent adaptation of the cult text The Revolution will not be televised by Gil Scott Heron from 1970. Stefan Birckmann has already been hosted at the ESSZIMMER last year, presenting an excerpt from his Reise eines Ungeschickten.
- Party from ca. 18:00: We celebrate with live music by the Broad Band and everyone who was part of our journey the last five years! The Broad Band are Svenja Weyer (Flute), Christina „Nana“ Steins (Vocals), Christoph Cremer (Keyboards) und Bernd Dahl (Vocals and Blues Harp).
