Joachim Fleischer, Light Artist from Stuttgart/GER in conversation with Christine Camenisch and Johannes Vetsch (Basel/CH) within the frame of theire solo show Swarm.

Joachim Fleischer, Light Artist (Stuttgart) studied at Staatliche Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart (1982-89) and developed since his works on light, works for public spaces, artificial space stage, performances (light and directing) and light installations.

He received several prizes and stipends among which are Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart (GER), the DAAD Travelgrant London, the Renta Prize/Nürnberg (GER) and the Creator in Residence/Tokyo Wonder Site (JP). He taught in different institutions and universities. From 2007 to 2011 he took up a deputy professorship at the intermedia department of the university of fine arts in Stuttgart. 2016 he curated the light project Ascents in 25 towns with 45 participating artists, a project of Culture Region Stuttgart (GER).
