HASENHERZ
The Austrian artist couple Ruth Anderwald + Leonhard Grond (Vienna) presents HASENHERZ – a film- and discussion series that is inspired by Arnold Schönberg ́s Association for private music performance (in 1918-1921).
DAS ESSZIMMER welcomes Ruth Anderwald + Leonhard Grand to showcase their film- and discussion series during the blindspotting exhibition by Christine de la Garenne. Following Arnold Schönberg ́s Association for private music performance (founded in 1918), the concept of trying to understand art/music, is now transferred to the medium of experimental film: the selected films/videos are presented, then there is a discussion and finally they are projected a second time. As it was the goal for the original format “to enforce artists and art lovers with a real and profound knowledge of modern music“ (Alban Berg), now selected experimental films/videos are screened.
