The film documents the evacuation of Mariupol in the spring of 2022 after the city was surrounded by Russian troops and civilian targets were heavily bombed on a daily basis. In mid-March 2022, volunteers began evacuating people from Mariupol to Zaporizhia. They met after each trip to share information, support each other and talk about their traumatic experiences.
