Laura Rentz

Opening of the video installation Staubfängerin by Laura Rentz, graduate of Alanus University.Laura Rentz completed her studies in art, education and therapy and was part of Prof. Johannes Brunner’s sculpture project. In her video works she transforms everything into artistic material – flying dust particles, her own body, her emotions and the time inherent in video art.

Laura Rentz will also be present in person on 11th and 18th December 2021, both from 3 – 5 pm.

The video installation will be on view until 23th December 2021 during the usual opening hours of the Kaiserpassage as part of the PASSAGE project.

Thomas Metz

In his works, Thomas Metz focuses on people and their fate.
On display are works in oil and mixed media from the years 2018-2021. The painter selects dramatic moments in which the course of a life is decided or in which the tragedy of human existence becomes tangible. Thomas Metz’s paintings depict an unhinged world and the abysmal nature of human existence.

The exhibition is a collaboration with SZALCprojects.

The exhibitions will be on view until 29th December 2021 during the usual opening hours of the Kaiserpassage as part of the PASSAGE project.

Peter Szalc

Peter Szalc‘s works are from his new series Recovery, begun in summer 2021, and are characterised by a lightness and a search for new forms of expression. Light compositions with enigmatic figures alternate with gloomy, colourful images with motifs that directly concern the conditions in the Corona pandemic. Lured by warm to garish colours, experimental and seemingly conventional painting techniques, the viewer gradually penetrates Peter Szalc’s supposedly cheerful pictorial worlds.

The exhibitions will be on view until 29th December 2021 during the usual opening hours of the Kaiserpassage as part of the PASSAGE project.

We would like to thank the NEUSTART Kultur program and the Art Fund Foundation for supporting the PASSAGE project
