The artist Ingrid Roscheck brings to a shift change of the solo exhibition by Rainer Barzen some of her works and gradually takes over the entire exhibition space.

Ingrid Roscheck, will start by introducing some of her art works into the current exhibition of Rainer Barzen, before one week later – on Friday may 20, 2016 – her solo show will open. In this 2ed Shift  (1st Shift by Rainer Barzen)  Roscheck will step by step take over our exhibition space and transform it into her very own WorldDepot.

For this Rainer Barzen and Ingrid Roscheck go on rotating shifts. Both understand the reality of life and the gathering of their own world as a cultural exchange process. In different approaches they change the context of an object and move it to other context-layers. The ambiguity and simultaneity of individual and collective identity are by that means made experienceable as profound aspects of contemporary art.

Born in Oberhausen, lives and works in Cologne. Since 2015 artistic-scientific assistant at the University of Cologne / GER. Their work is often reminiscent of modern chambers of curiosities (Wunderkammern).
