The film ”My favorite job” by Sashko Protyah/Zaporizhzhia is a different kind of road movie. It documents how volunteers try to evacuate people from the city of Mariupol, that was surrounded by Russian armed forces, in March 2022.

In cooperation with Videocity/Basel “Festival of Food”, curated by Elisabeth Höller, Christina Böckler, Luise Hoyer and the Videocity team around Dr. Andrea Domesle, everything revolves around the instrumentalization of beautiful appearances.

“Bad Roads” (2020) by Natalіya Vorozhbyt is a road movie along the streets of the Donbass during war times.

“Atlantis” (2019) by Valentyn Vasyanovych shows an uninhabitable eastern Ukraine in a near future where people try to get by in a devastated country.

Artist Talk as part of the solo exhibition “Change the Sketch! [Kismodoti-Sketu]” by Gabriele Horndasch/Düsseldorf. The conversation will be conducted by the artist Irene Weingartner/Zurich/Düsseldorf.

In her solo programs, the violinist Julia Brussels/Berlin combines different genres between free improvisation, electronic music, jazz and ambient.
