Wechselschicht_Weltdepot | Schicht Ingrid Roscheck
The 2nd shift of Wechselschicht_Weltdepot shows current works by Ingrid Roscheck (Cologne). This passionate collecting and archiving of props, the rediscovering, rearranging, reinventing and creating meaning is central for her work.
We are delighted to invite you to the exhibition project Wechselschicht_Weltdepot (engl.: RotatingShift_WorldDepot). Participating artists are Rainer Barzen (Cologne) and Ingrid Roscheck (Cologne). The project is a curatorial collaboration between DAS ESSZIMMER and Silke Dombrowsky (culture historian, M.A.,Bonn) and shows for the first time two interlocking individual exhibitions.
Therefore Rainer Barzen and Ingrid Roscheck go on rotating shifts. Both understand the reality of life and the gathering of their own world as a cultural exchange process. In different approaches they change the context of an object and move it to other context-layers. The ambiguity and simultaneity of individual and collective identity are by that means made experienceable as profound aspects of contemporary art.
